    President chaney

OK, is anyone really surprised that Dick has had all the power in the White House since W got selected as President?  I mean, really, is it that surprising?  If it is, you just haven't been paying any attention to this White House.

I'm disgusted by what our government had become since W became President, er, co-President, er, what do we call him?  I am more disgusted at how partisan our government is.  Nothing gets done.  Oh, except the House voted themselves a 4000 dollar raise last week.  I wonder how many of our citizens who need social security to survive, even make that much in a year?  Oh, that's right, the average citizen doesn't count any more until election time rolls around, and then they really don't count.

I am disgusted that our government allows this White House to continue to operate as though they are dictators to the little people.  I am frustrated that as a whole, our government is doing nothing of importance.  And while the immigration bill may have been important, is it more important than health care?  than turning back the interest rate changes on student loans that the Republicans passed (that affect poor students the hardest)?  than ending a pointless war?  than working on alternate energy sources?  than protecting our environment?  than making sure that each person in this country has a true equal opportunity?

Why did the Republican senators who are now turning against the war, wait so long?  Why did they think about how they were going to phrase their speeches for months?  Why didn't they just step up and do the right thing?  The right thing?  I suspect we are way beyond the right thing in politics anymore.  Does anyone see a way out?  a change in the future?  I don't.  oh, wait, the rich will continue to get richer, the poor poorer.  and someday, not that far in the future, the press will be controlled by one Rupert Murdoch who isn't even an American.  When he owns the Wallstreet Journal, and he will, then the days will indeed be dark.

And dark days are definitely ahead of us.  Or should I say darker days?

by the way, is the government on vacation?  silly question; they are always on vacation.

    proud to be a Democrat!

well, not so much, really.  No, no, I am still a liberal hippy chick.  That hasn't changed.  Matter of fact, I suspect I get more liberal.  But, lately, I have read nothing good about the Democrats in Congress.  What happened to all the promises made to get elected?  Why does this congress have such a problem standing up to a lame duck President?  Why are people more concerned with Paris Hilton's prison time than what is happening to our country?  I just looked at a headline on CNN about the fact that his open and above board Congress as promised by the newly in charge Democrats would be revealing their pet projects to the media, and to us, the people.

OK, that's a lie.  Actually, the headline said that very few in congress were willing to open the books on their pet projects.  Why be ashamed?  (I am shaking my head in disgust as I think about it).

These dorks are elected by us, the people, and yet they feel that they don't have to answer to us?  They promise us chocolate, really good chocolate, and then try to serve up peppermint.  It doesn't taste the same, trust me on that one.

I am also sick of the AG's office and the politics going on there.  When is something going to be done about that moron in charge?  er, the one in charge of the AG's office.  OK, not Rove, although he does need to dealt with also.  It seems like this congress can't get anything done?  It's worse than it was before the election.

Yep, I'm disgusted.  I'm sick of politicians and all the crap they dish out.  It's time for a revolution.  Where is our youth?  Aren't they the ones who lead those?  ahhh, what is the world coming to?
